°µÍø½ûÇøÆƽâ°æ’s intensive, field-based bachelor’s of early childhood education prepares every teacher candidate to work democratically with diverse young children and families, including those with special needs and second language backgrounds.

About the Scholarship Program

Starting fall 2022, the State of Illinois is offering equity scholarships to childcare workers who enroll in a bachelor’s degree program.

  • Earn up to $30,000 in scholarships.
  • Convenient Chicago or Schaumburg campus locations.
  • Fully remote evening classes coming soon.
  • Work while completing your degree and licensure requirements.

Features of °µÍø½ûÇøÆƽâ°æ’s Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education program

  • Prepares teacher candidates to teach developmentally appropriate best practices to young children and to work collaboratively with diverse families and communities.
  • Teacher candidates can work while completing their courses and their field observations.
  • Academic, administrative, and career support from two mentors/coaches for assistance with accessing university resources and preparing for the content test and edTPA.
  • Close observation and feedback from faculty
  • Funding may be available to remove financial holds from current or previous institution.

Eligibility

Applicants should have an AA or AAS degree or 60 credit hours of college coursework, and a 2.7 undergraduate GPA is preferred (a 2.5 GPA will be considered).
