We have several ways in which a student may apply to our Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program at °µÍø½ûÇøÆƽâ°æ. Below will identify the application process and eligibility requirements.

In order to select the strongest candidates from the pool of qualified applicants, the College of Science, Health & Pharmacy Admission Committee will assess not only the successful completion of a pre-pharmacy curriculum, but also the letters of recommendation, scores from the personal interview, PCAT score if submitted, volunteer and co-curricular experiences, health-related work experiences, and written communication.
Applicants selected for admission into the Doctor of Pharmacy program will receive a conditional offer of admission. Admission offers are made until all program spaces are filled.
Offers of admission are conditional until all outstanding requirements are completed as outlined in the program’s Matriculation Agreement.
Vaccination series and any booster doses as per ACIP guidelines are requirements of the Doctor of Pharmacy program without the option for exemption, due to the clinical site requirements needed for completion of program requirements.
The dual acceptance program in biology and pharmacy in the RU College of Science, Health and Pharmacy allows qualified students to complete both a bachelor’s and doctoral degree in six years, as opposed to seven or eight years at in traditional programs.

To apply to the °µÍø½ûÇøÆƽâ°æ Dual Acceptance Program, applicants will complete an undergraduate application and indicate interest in the Biology + PharmD program.
An applicant may apply to enter into the Dual Acceptance Program as a current °µÍø½ûÇøÆƽâ°æ freshman student.

Admission to °µÍø½ûÇøÆƽâ°æ’s College of Science, Health & Pharmacy is granted on a competitive basis and requires applicants to complete a comprehensive application and interview process. Interviews are limited and are offered to individuals based upon the Admission Review Committee’s recommendation and invitation. Application review, interviews, and decision notifications are completed on a rolling basis.
To help prospective applicants prepare for admission to the °µÍø½ûÇøÆƽâ°æ Doctor of Pharmacy program, the general admission criteria are listed below.

An applicant who has previously attended another Doctor of Pharmacy program must provide a letter from their Dean (or the Dean's designee) of the College of Pharmacy in which the student is/was previously enrolled. The letter should describe the applicant's current academic and conduct status and terms of withdrawal or dismissal, including, whether the applicant was on academic or conduct probation at any time while enrolled.
The letter from the Dean (or Dean's designee) should be sent directly to Dr. Angela Ryan, Director of Enrollment and Student Services at aryan@roosevelt.edu. Should the Dean (or Dean's designee) have any questions, please have them contact Dr. Ryan at 847-330-4531.
Once the letter is received, the Admissions Committee will be able to continue a review of the applicant's application.
Transfer applications are accepted for students who have completed the first year of didactic study at another accredited school of pharmacy and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. No more than the equivalent of one year of credit shall be given to any student applying for advanced standing from any institution other than an ACPE accredited college/school of pharmacy. In addition to other application materials, applicants will be required to provide course syllabi for completed courses. Faculty will evaluate completed coursework for equivalency and will make recommendations for placement in our program. Students who left their program of study for academic or professionalism reasons may not be considered for transfer admission to the College of Science, Health & Pharmacy. Students must complete all doctor of pharmacy coursework within five years of initial matriculation. Students who cannot complete the doctor of pharmacy program within five years of the start date at their transfer institution will not be considered for transfer.
Please send a statement indicating your interest in our program and an unofficial copy of your Doctor of Pharmacy transcript to the Office of Enrollment and Student Services at pharmacy@roosevelt.edu.

Upon an initial review of the documents, students may be instructed to apply in PharmCAS where a formal assessment of the application will be conducted by our Admission Committee to determine eligibility for an interview.
