Our partnership allows RPS teachers to apply their LBS1 and Bilingual/ESL endorsement courses toward a Master of Arts degree in the following areas, substantially reducing the already low costs of these online and blended graduate degree programs.
The Master of Arts in Second Language Special Education (SLSE) prepares licensed teachers to effectively instruct English Language Learners and students with special needs. Upon completion of the online and blended program, candidates will be eligible to add both the Bilingual/ESL and LBS1 endorsements to their Illinois teaching licenses.
The Master's in Literacy Leadership (MA) prepares licensed teachers to become effective and democratic leaders in language and literacy learning. Upon completion of the online and face-to-face program in Schaumburg, candidates will be eligible to add either the reading specialist, reading teacher, or bilingual/ESL endorsement to their Illinois teaching licenses.
Our partnership also allows RPS teachers to enroll in our Dual Language Teacher Leadership Program.
The MA degree in Dual Language Teacher Leadership (DLTL) prepares teachers to teach, and lead, in dual language programs and schools. Offered online and in a unique summer residency format, the program leads to the bilingual/ESL and teacher leader endorsements. The tuition for this program is priced at just over 50% off of the standard graduate tuition rate in the College of Education.
°µÍø½ûÇøÆƽâ°æ offers online and face-to-face courses for licensed teachers seeking to advance their careers. College of Education degree programs and endorsement courses provide opportunities to learn from our expert faculty and school partners. Our Summer Residencies for Teachers program allows educators to earn valuable endorsements and even begin a master’s program over the summer, through a series of unique one-week courses.
