The Ed.D. in Interdisciplinary Leadership program prepares students for successful roles in higher education, nonprofit organizations, and the business sector. Our online model enables you to complete most coursework from the comfort of your home. Additionally, you can connect, engage, and collaborate with faculty, fellow cohort peers, and industry leaders during our annual immersive in-person residency at our downtown campus.
This 3.5-year program is offered fully online with once-yearly in person meetings on the Chicago campus. Admissions are open for fall start dates only.
Students will graduate with a robust skillset to facilitate change in their leadership role and become confident leaders in higher education and business. Program participants will learn to synthesize data for executive decisions, apply a social justice lens to organizational structure and view workplace challenges from multiple perspectives.
Students can specialize in either Organizational Leadership or Higher Education Leadership to match their career goals. In addition to taking core classes that focus on analytical reasoning, adaptive thinking and strategic leadership, students can select courses that emphasize conflict resolution and mentorship approaches (for Organizational Leadership) or student-centered mindsets and fiscal management (for Higher Education Leadership).
The program integrates coursework with °µÍø½ûÇøÆƽâ°æ’s mission of diversity, equity and inclusion to give students a foundation in social justice, DEI theory and global inequity studies. Students will develop an expertise in advocacy and research methodologies so they can oversee a diverse and representative professional workforce.
