About Me

Elizabeth Meadows is an Associate Professor of Elementary Education in the College of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences at °µÍø½ûÇøÆƽâ°æ in Chicago and Schaumburg, Illinois. Her areas of teaching expertise are in the foundations course, the inquiry in the classroom course, the pre-student teaching and student teaching courses and in teaching freshmen. She was named a First-Year Faculty Fellow at RU, and she has provided support and professional development for other teachers of first-year, college courses. Her research interests include identifying ways that teachers can promote trust and social justice both within and beyond the classroom through discussion. Meadows wrote a chapter in this book: Listening to Teach: Beyond Didactic Pedagogy edited by Leonard J. Waks.
